Won't release my contract

After having a terrible time with my contract (inaccurate bills suspending my line because they thought I was a cash customer after clearly having a debit order and generally a bad attitude) my contract finally has come to an end and I am over the moon to change to a new company. But after spending a good 2 hours on the phone to altech auto page trying to release my number so that cell c can port my number still no luck. I got transferred from department to department the hole day and short of speaking to the driver probably spoke to every department at this company. After been assured that my number has been released numerous times still I am tied to this company against my will. Please is this how altech retains customers??? let me go please I think your company is way behind times and can't compete please I don't want to deal with your company anymore just release my number and loose one more customer!
