I recently ported to Cell C after being told about how cheap their Straight Up contracts and out of bundle data rates are. One of the many things I was told was that after exceeding the data bundle that comes as part of the package, data would be charged at a rate of 15c/MB. As you can imagine, I was shocked when I received an SMS telling me that I'd exceeded my monthly limit. Upon further investigation, I found that my data rate was actually closer to R1/MB and not 15c/MB, as promised when I signed up.

The call centre has not been very useful and they keep telling me that they've escalated the issue. In the meanwhile, I'm stuck with a useless device since everything on it has been blocked. I'm very disappointed in the level of service I've received while trying to resolve this and I'm strongly considering cancelling my contract and moving back to Vodacom, as I cannot continue with a network who's integrity is seemingly questionable.
