Ever since this year started I wished I shouldn't have renewed my contract with MTN, On March 2013, the whole month I couldn't make calls, but could receive them and go into the internet, when I called they say they have never had this issue and are processing this matter. I waited until the 27th March so that it can be fixed. Now because of that MTN erased my loyalty points system and I couldn't register again as they always said we fixing this matter. Until now 23 June 2013, they fixed it. Now my new cellphone which I bought on contract on 2 December 2012, has a hearing problem and the other person cannot hear a word I'm saying, so I need it repaired, now look its a micro SIM cellphone, it takes 2-3 weeks for repairs, plus MTN doesn't cover a loan phone even if your on contract. A micro SIM swap cost R110.00, so to take this cellphone to repairs I have to pay to switch to a normal SIM card then pay again to switch to micro SIM card when my cellphone is fixed. Plus I don't have loan phone so I have to borrow a phone from someone so that I can get all my calls, smses, emails. This is a total rip off and I'm not sure if I'm returning to mtn ever again.
