Telkom called ME on the 18th of June with a special offer for an ADSL. As I've just moved into a new house in an area where mobile connectivity is quite bad, I decide to take them up on the offer.

I give them my new address as well confirm the service that I'm interested in more than once during the conversation. Later I get an SMS thanking me for my order - the SMS contains the WRONG Address.

Today I get an SMS that my request is being investigated - Further details will only be available within approximately 30 days...

On calling the call centre to find out what the reason for the investigation is they tell me that they need to check the infrastructure - even though the people that lived here before us had exactly the same service.

I then to decide to double check the other information on the order- since the address was wrong - and they got the package that I selected wrong as well.

Terrible.
The call centre agent now updated the information but I'm not sure if I should not call everyday to confirm that they have the right details THIS time around.

Please Telkom - don't offer something that you're not sure you can deliver.
