Today at 17h51 i called the vodacom customer care on 111 using my fiancees cell phone. i requested a sim swop as my sim caed had been damaged. i had bought another sim card and i gave the operator the requested information that was asked. i was told that a sim swop will take a maximum of three hours. i accepted this. at - 20h51 i again called the vodacom customer care using the 111 call centre number. i asked the operator if i can switch on the phone with the new sim card. i was told that there had been a system failure and that it could now take up to 24hrs. i explained to the operator that i am a paramedic for the emergency services and that i am in need of my cell phone and i was told that it is not his problem and he actually put the phone down in my ear. i then called 111 again. this time i was told that i need another sim card and as the other had failed. i drove around my town for an hour and could not find a place open at this time of the night to sell me a sim card. i called the 111 again and they said that there is nothing that they can do in this regard. i find this unacceptable. and i will be asking for a full investigation in this regard. i will claim my expenses...
