I applied for a sim swap on Friday 8 November 2013. I was given a new sim card and was told to install it when my old card loses a signal. I installed the new sim on Sunday 10 November 2013 when my old card lost a signal. The new card did not work. I returned to the Voda Shop this morning Monday 11 November 2013. The assistant check and found that the new card had the incorrect cell number. He gave me a new card and I had to wait until my old card lost a signal to install the new card. After three hours my phone lost a signal and I installed the new sim card. I went back to Vodacom as the phone did not work. The assistant checked the new sim and showed that the sim swop had failed. She contacted Vodacom customer care and they told her that I must wait for 24 hours even if it shows that the sim swop had failed. I think that this is very poor service from Vodacom customer care as I am a business man and cannot do without my cell phone. Is this the correct procedure.
