Get my internet line fixed please

I have logged a fault wth Telkom as my line is incredably slow almost a month ago.

Called again last week as it's still not corrected. They say that it's not my line but rather the entire area that has the issue. This could be plausible for a coupleof days, but it's been more than a month that I have had a bad internet connection.

Surely this can not be true and if so, why should I pay for a month of fast connection when I'm not getting anywhere near that??
