Years of problems with Telkom

Since signing up for ADSL from Telkom the first couple of years was constant bad connections. e.g. everytime it rained or the weather turned bad the line would disconnect. After phone the help center we were told that it is not meant to do this, eventually, after several years, we moved to a 4meg line hoping that the problem would be alleviated but it was not. The loss of connection does not happen as often but now there is a problem with speed, on the night of the 18th of January the line was very slow, so I did a speedtest on the Telkom website and got a download speed of 0.99Mbps and a ping of 230ms. After this i phoned and told the technical support and he reset something on his side and after another speed test the line barely improved, whilst on the phone I asked why I was not receiving the line speed I paid for and got arrogant responses and an analogy about cars on highways. I stated that I was checking on the website and technical support hung up on me. After a few years of horrible line connection and now this I think something should be done. We plan to take our account to @lantic.
