I applied for 2 phone contracts (to port two existing numbers) & was approved on 7/3/2012. But when I went to pick up my phones only 1 phone number was ported and the other was their own number. I only accepted the one ported phone. The salesman marked cancel on the other phone.
Imagine my horror when my auditor informed me that 8ta had been deducting for 2 contracts for 15 months.
(they were conveniently sending my statement to the wrong address!) When I went in to correct the mistake they had the audacity to bill me R800 termination fee for their mistake on a contract that was never accepted!
Not only that: they refuse to give me a refund on 15 months of wrongful charges but will only pass me a credit; in effect still keeping My money! If I was owing them money for 15 months how much interest & penalties would they have charged me?
