Nobody can resolve my simple

On 01/06/2013 I upgraded from a top up plan to one of the new Smart Plans and got a Sony Xperia Z.

My request was simple, convert my airtime into data so that I can make the most out of my new device. Unfortunately, for Vodacom, this isnt a simple request. The 1st time I called into the callcentre, after speaking to a supervisor, I realized I was in for drama. He advised me that i needed to buy airtime and couldnt use the airtime i received on my contract. He did his research and found out I was right.

After getting the self help options from him, I tried to buy the advertised data bundle (R99 for 500mbs) but only got the standard one (R99 for 250mbs). After calling again into the call centre i was advised that there was a problem and had to wait for the "backoffice" to get hold of me later. Somebody did call me, however did not seem to know the nature of my issue. After explaining it to her, I was told it was gonna take another 24hrs. I complained and was promised 100mbs for my troulbles. I got an sms stating that 150mbs has been added to my account but still no data

Bottom line:

No data on Day 3
Might have an extra charge for the "free data"
Have a R11 000 Nokia 3310
