I've recently moved house, and let Telkom know that my line would need to be transferred to my new address over a week in advance. After much haggling about the fact that the technicians are only able to do the installation during business hours, I resigned myself to the fact that I would need to miss a days work and use a day of my annual leave to get this done.
I had my appointment set for Monday, 3 June, and all was in order. I then received a call from a Telkom technician who requested moving my appointment forward to the Friday - I consented to this and took half a day off work to be there - however the Telkom guys were a no-show, and did not even bother to let me know that they wouldn't be coming. According to the sms's received, the technicians would be coming to my house on the Monday, so another day of my annual leave was used - and again another day has been wasted as the technicians have not arrived again!!!
I had to call 10210 to find out why Telkom hadn't been to install my line, there was no notification from Telkom themselves. The guy in charge of installations refused to speak to me on conference call with the call-center agent - so I have NO answers, only excuses
