MTN contract / Nokia phone breaking constantly

Telecommunications

April 2012 I upgraded my phone to a Nokia C7. October problems started. People can hear me, but I cannot hear them. Result: multiple calls to "re-try" connection, no success @ my cost. Handed phone and six weeks later I was informed that I may select another. (Six weeks without a phone for which I am paying). Opted for the Lumia610. Received this 13/11/12. Feb 2013 same problem. Took it back to be told that I should reboot the phone daily by taking the battery and sim card out. Tried that for a few days with no success. Took it back again to be told my wi-fi connection set-up is not right. The guy in the store did some setting adjustments (do not know what) and then the phone was ok again. Mid May 2013 same thing again. Took it back again and the guy in the store tried everything (re-boot, wi-fi, etc) with no success and the result that my phone be handed in AGAIN to be checked out by NOKIA. 13 months down the line and my phone "broken" twice??? Why do MTN then stock Nokia phones and present them to customers at a cost if it is rubbish and the stuff do not work? Please help!
