I renewed my MTN contract in October 2012 and chose a Samsung. End of March 2013 the battery would not charged and I hand it in for repairs. When I received the phone back, it still did not work properly, and my charger was missing. On 18/04/2013 the phone was send in again for repairs And again the charger was missing and the phone charged half the battery and the battery went flat in four hours time without been used
The MTN area Manageress contacted the Boksburg repair shop and I received an e-mail, dated 27/04/2013 that they will replace the charger. After the third repair effort, I received the phone back, still without the charger and with the same problem. On 7/05/2013 the phone was booked in for repairs a record fourth time.
I have tried to get a senior person of MTN to attend to the problem, but MTN Client services refused to address the problem and I was referred to the "incompetent" shop. 1. Why was the cell phone not replaced by a new phone as it has a 2 year warranty 2. I had to pay my monthly subscription for March, April and now June 2013 without having the benefits of my contract with MTN. Is their poor repair service not a breach of the contract?
