Cell C
Repairs to faulty cell phone

Telecommunications

I recently took out a new cell phone contract from Quigney cellC branch in East London. My charger was not making contact with the phone. I had to prop the charger up with a pen. Within 7 days I returned the phone and charger to the branch. They decided to just send the charger away. To me the phone should have been replaced. I expected to just have the charger replaced. At all times I was kept up to date via SMS as to the where abouts of my charger. About a week and a half later I was contacted and told to bring my phone in. I requested that the repairs get prioritised which was done by the branch. I waited at least a week but received no SMS about the phone. I then phoned the repairs centre and was told that they will not prioritise the repairs. I was told that policy states 21 days. I asked about policy stating replacement if returned within 7 days. I was after a number of days and phonecall forced to call Cell C headoffice and spoke to Sue to resolve the issue.. On 2013-08-13 I received my phone back. on 2013-08-14 on charging the phone the charger still does not make contact and still needs to be proped up. I would not recommend Cell C to anyone and will not renew ny contract
