SIM SWOP- SLOW. reponse more than 48hrs plus

Lost my sim card. Contacted Cell C and advised to purchase a new sim card and phone through the serial number which was done. Informed of sim swop to be done 24-48rs time. This was done on Tuesday 21 May. It is now Sunday and sim swop was not done. Sms received with ref no 3052104726.
Phoned in this morning and spoke to Tebogo who informed me that cell c had tried twice to get hold of me, yet no missed calls or sms noted on my phone.
I asked why they needed to speak to me, I was informed that they needed to verify details. As I said why do they need to do that as it is all done when you place the query.
With the nature of my job (operating theatre), it does not allow me to use my cell phone during working hours.By the time I finish work, this particular depatrment have departed for the day. So there is no mutual medium here.
