Incorrect info on signing up the contract

So I was due for an upgrade on my phone and wanted the Blackberry 9790. I went to MTN Ficksburg and told them I would like to get it on Top Up 200. I was then told that it would cost me R329. I then told him that it would be too expensive for me and I will look at other options. John, at Ficksburg store, then told me that it would only cost me R329.00 for 3 months after which I will be able to migrate to cheaper package which would cost me not more than R200.00. He then showed me customers who had bought the 9790 on that package and then migrated to cheaper package after 3 months.

After 3 months into the contract when i tried migrating, I was told that it is not possible to migrate. This has really upsetted me. I feel that R329 is way too much for me and I cannot carrry on with this contract anymore. I feel stuck in it now because of MTN who supplied me with wrong info. I have even tried cancelling this contract but obviously MTN always ignores the Consumer Protection Act and quotes us more than 100% of what we would normally pay.

Please get back to me ASAP and either migrate me or cancel this contract.

PS: I have never ever been more disappointed with a service provider.
