I have been a customer, in a block where we have no choice which internet provider to use, for 3 months.
For 2 of those 3 months, I have had interruptions, issues etc.

First it was settings on the phone, then we lost power and the internet settings had to be reset, then the phone wouldn't work when the internet worked, then the phone worked, and the internet settings had to be reset again.
They tried to say that because I wasn't using a router that I bought from SmartVillage, that this was now my fault and that I must pay the Call Out Charge - R460. I refused as I was using the same router they recommended and even the technician could not tell me what exactly the issue was when he came and changed the settings to reconfigure some whatsit.
I advised Smart Village on the 25 April that I would be cancelling my subscription if I was charged this, and they deigned to get hold of me on the 24th May (after chasing to find out what was going on) to let me know that they would let me cancel on the 30 June... I have decided to fight them, as I will not pay an extra month for this service when it is this bad. I have also commented on their FB page - guessing it will be deleted...
