Internet settings not working for new data

Technician wants to wipe phone of all data to install internet settings. Also answering the phone while we are busy and treating me like an afterthought when he can see I have limited time. This is unacceptable because settings can be entered manually. Otherwise he said I should just call helpline. I want help or I will take further steps with the Consumer Council and my lawyer just to cancel a paid service not working properly.
