Do not use MTN for data services - no service

In December I went into the MTN service centre to complain that there are coverage issues in the Fourways area. I received no response or feedback so I called 0839001212 and logged a call on 4 January 2013.
I was promised that the problem would be rectified at the latest in 10 working days. I have made numerous followup calls and been promised regularly that the supervisor would call me - I am still waiting for a call.
I work at home and cannot perform work due to the fact that I am unable to access the internet due to no connectivity (signal). I battle to use my cell phone as that reception is very poor.
I am paying for a service that I cannot use (illegal) and in fact it is impacting my income.
IS THIS ACCEPTABLE SERVICE??? I WILL NOT PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT I DO NOT RECEIVE, NO MORE THAT SOMEONE WILL CALL ME, MUST I NOW TAKE LEGAL ACTION DUE TO LOSS OF INCOME???
