Not Sending sms on prepaid MTN cell numbe

Hii peter.
i hv big problem with MTN, i hv preapid sim card and i cant send sms for the past three weeks and i called customer carline and i was advised to switch of my phone for 5minutes to so that ill be able to send sms, but that ddnt happen then i wen to local MTN store and i was advised to perfom swim swarp there aftre they promise that my sim card will be able to send sms and still that ddnt happen, so now im fed up coz i ended up losing my important cell number on my sim card hoping that my problem will be solved.
PLEASE HELP, I CNT TYK IT ANYMORE
