Vodacom
Unfair credit listing

Telecommunications

In 2012 my account was overdue by around 12K. I contacted vodacom and we agreed on a settlemnt plan. I was to pay 1.1k every month for the next 12 months. At the time of the agreement, the consultant inidicated that if i do miss a payment the account would be handed over. 1st few months i made irregular payments. No one said anything etc. In the past few months i commited myself to settling the debt. Each month paying over and above but not below the agreed amount of R1.1k. When left with less than 3 months to settle, they account is handed over, a default is listed on my credit profile.

I complained to the company and i am told i did not stick to my agreement. Firstly why hand over an account which was actually being paid consistently leading up to your listing? If there was a time to hand it over was when i was not sticking to the agreement. But when im actually about to settle and been paying consistently you hand it over. Secondly why was i not warned at least when you made the hand over, at least inform me that if i dont settle the account u will list me.
