On the 22nd March 2013 between 3:30/ 3:45pm I went to a walk-in - MTN branch at No 5 Simmonds to collect my phone as I had already completed all the necessary documentation the day before. As I approached the branch they were about closing but they opened the store for me and handed me the phone. The invoice the gentleman said he would email to me on Monday which he failed to do. I never used the phone until Tuesday evening when I tried to set up my bbm and to view the functionality of the phone.
The Wednesday (27th March 2013) afternoon I called the call centre and informed them I am unable set up my bbm let alone make calls and they informed me that my sim had not been activated. My understanding that the phone was only activated the Wednesday meant that my contract only became active as from the 27th March 2013. The Thursday could I only view the functionality on the Z10 which I was not impressed with and took it back the Friday afternoon. I wanted the handset changed but they refused they told me I had 7 working days to change it. Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays the branch is closed... so how was I to change it?
