Poor customer service after upgrade

My husband, Mr D Muthiyalu, upgraded his contract on the 22 Feb 2013 to a Blackberry Z10 with R200 airtime &250mb data. The total cost of this package is R478.00. However, in the months following the upgrade he is being billed in excess of R1000 even though he barely uses his phone. Upon querying with MTN (808) he was informed that there was constant data usage by his Facebook application and he was advised to switch it off to prevent further data charges which he did. On the 11th of May (the date that he receives his airtime &data bundle) he noticed that he did not receive his 250mb data bundle. Further querying with MTN revealed that the data bundle had not been activated at the time of the upgrade even though he is still billed for it. The consultant agreed to activate it and said it would take 2-24 hours but it has still not been done and it is more than 24 hours later. My husband is obviously frustrated with this blatant lack of interest by MTN and is at the point where he is considering cancelling the contract as clearly he cannot use his smartphone for its intended purposes. MTN customer services are pathetic and not worth the effort anymore.
