UNACCEPTABLE PERFORMANCE

Hi

I've been on Telkom now for close to a year. When I signed up with Telkom (Telkom Simple 2m line and 10gb data) I had no landline, they came and activated my landline and internet but when I bought a new telephone to use there was no line although the internet works.

I tried for ages for the problem to be rectified but it hadn't. After a while I called back to follow up and then the query was escalated.

I then got a phone call from a Telkom employee in DURBAN to ask me if I am Mr. Van Niekerk, but I am Mr. Dewey. They had "Mr. Van Niekerk" as the person who lived at my current address which is impossible because I built my house and no-one lived here before.

The landline query is still not working and to top it all off, my internet speed, which was promised to me at 2mb per second, runs slower then any other internet I've ever experienced.

I'm a qualified Chartered Accountant and know of the Consumer Protection Act. I'm going to use my right to cancel my contract with Telkom because I am being abused with the price i'm paying for absolute non-performance on the contract which is my legal right in this instance.

Please can someone contact me to assist with the contract?
