I recently migrated from a talk130 to a smart m above this an upgrade from blackberry to samsung galaxy s4. upon inserting my sim into the samsung once my sim swop was successfull and the following morning received an sms that my data usage was higher than usual, i checked my balances and saw that my account had jumped from an average of R500-R600 a month to R3006 overnight! i contacted customer care and was informed that this was due to once inserting my sim into my samsung automatic updates were initiated and the result was 1.89G of usage and that is what i am being billed for. my average bill amounts for the last 2 years range between R500-R600 i was never informed that the galaxy had this feature or made aware of it and that it would affect my average billing rate. i specifically asked the consultant at the branch if there were in hidden costs i should be made aware of on this upgrade, i did not want to spend more than i was originally as i was happywith the talk130, the consultant assured me there were no hidden costs and that my bill would stay averagely the same on the smart m migration. now overnight my bill has rocketed from R500 to R3006!!! i should have been informed.
