Terrible signal

We are pensioners and need to be in touch all the time.
At this stage however all we can do most of the time is say hallo, then the phone disconnects with no signal most of the time. Sending two e-mails today took me one hour, so pre-paid time is used up in a short time.
I contacted Vodacom and at last got a reference number. They promised someone would call and sure he did but to no avail as he said we should at least spend between R2500 and R3000.00 per month before they could do anything.
His name is BRUCE and his number is 082 049 9566. We moved to Vygeboomdam which is 7 km from Badplaas Mpumalanga from Pretoria 8 months ago and that is when our nightmare started. Bruce contacted us on 21/01/2013.
He recommended I do a survey of all the houses and find out if they use Vodacom and also how much they spend per month!!!
We have one contract cell, a computer (pre-paid) and two pre-paid cellphones in the household. The contract phone expires in September 2013 only and they would hold me accountable for payment until then - should I cancel.
