No airtime after numerous purchases

I have a contract with MTN and everytime I try to purchase airtime via mobile banking it never gets to my phone. Ive asked a few people who use MTN and they have also confirmed that thye cant by airtime via mobile banking. Which concludes that MTN might be recycling our numbers and the airtime is going to someone else who is using my number and getting my airtime.
I called the call centre to confirm that I had purchased R35.00 worth of airtime on two occasions but I didnt get the airtime event though it showed on my bankstatement that the airtime went through to my number. and I was told that my number wasnt recycled and that I should get the airtime within 24hours, which never happened.
Now I would like to get an explaination why cant I purchase airtime via mobile banking.
