I have two contracts with MTN and the other sim card is not in use, i have been paying for both though i dont know the where abouts of the 2nd sim as when i took the 2nd contract i had lost my phone so i wanted a new phone. on the day of collection of my new phone i had requested for a sim swap to get my previous number. When i left MTN maponya i was only given the sim that was swapped but did not get the new contract sim. No one can answer my quetions and i was told that they will not be able to retrieve any of this information as their database clean up happens every 5 years and they wont be able to trace it. Apparently i have been getting R100 airtime on that sim but it gets forfeited every 5 months if it does not get used. "i mean who on earth would not want to use airtime they pay for? " by the way that was only explained for me now recently. So i went to upgrade to an iPad and now i have been going to MTN EVERY Weekend to get it set up, dont staff get training on these gadgets? I literally had to do everything for myself as they dont have Wifi connectivity at the store, now the sim they have me has "no service" since i collected it and they say i must pay for another one.
