In November 2012 I took out an Light Uncapped internet package, signed the contract along with a debit order to pay for the contract. I got the modem and monitored my bank account to confirm that my MTN debit order was going off on my account, which it did. On 2013/04/30 I received a Letter Of Demand claiming I owe MTN R6549.9. On further investigation I was paying for another account which is not in my name, I am currently paying for account number A0972115 and should be paying for A3931418. I also have not received any statements from MTN since the inception of my contract. I have tried various approaches to resolve this problem, contacting MTN on 808 but they just ordered me to pay and did not listen to my actual problem, emailed the legal firm but they blocked my email address, tried to get my statements and contract from an MTN branch but my account is blocked and they cannot access it. I then phoned the legal firm and they said they will request my contract and statements from MTN. I have now resorted to Hello Peter to try and get a response to resolve this issue, since it is costing me a lot of time and effort for a mistake I am not responsible for.
