I am having countless problems with Telkom the last few weeks whereby my home ADSL line is not working. Two week ago the line was not working and they could not find the problem. They told me it is the ADSL route that was faulty so I went and bought a new ADSL router that did not work either. I contacted the suppliers of the router and they confirmed that the router was fine. I contacted Telkom again and they still persisted that the problem was not on their side. So I went to MWEB and said if they can fix this problem I will move my account to them. With good assistance they pointed out to me that the Telkom line was faulty and I have to phone Telkom again. So I called them again (and they take anything from 15min to 30min to answer a call) and this time I insisted that they come out to my house and fix the line. They informed me that I might get billed if they don't find any problems. Two days later they found the problem at the exchange and fixed it.
On Saturday my line was dead, ADSL and Telephone line. I logged a call again with them and did not get any feedback from them. I called them today and they informed me that the call has not been attended to yet.
