I had an awful experience when I tried to activate my sim on my new phone yesterday. I was on hold for more than 45 minutes, only to discover I was on the incorrect line. I was transferred to a department that was no longer there.

I then tweeted about my frustration that evening, and was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call at 21h30 last night to try and sort out my problem. Miranda went out of her way to fix my issue, and called back to confirm that my phone was working just before 22h00.

Her attitude on Twitter and on the phone was exceptional and I am really impressed that Vodacom is able to keep someone so good on their staff. Perhaps she can do some client services training with the call centre, who I always find impossible to deal with.
