Forcing me to send ID for unwanted account

During Saturday 27 April, I applied for an ADSL 1mb uncapped account from Afrihost online.
I needed connection asap and when I noticed they want a copy of my ID first, I knew it wasn't going to be verified for at least 2 days. (It was a Saturday after all).
So I decided to not send my ID and got a 1mb ADSL account from Web Africa (which had me connected within 5 minutes.)

Now Afrihost has started to bill me and refuses to cancel the account that I don't want. I've sent them MULTIPLE requests to cancel it. So far they only tell me where I can do so myself (but this screen needs the ID activation first).

Finally someone activated my account today so that I could go cancel it.
BUT right after that I got another email that my account was suspended again. (and that I needed to send them my ID)

In short: They are forcing me to send my ID copy just so I can cancel an account I never wanted to confirm with my ID in the first place. I want my account cancelled! Is that too much to ask?
