I went to the store in Canal Walk 29th of March, to do an upgrade. In the dispay case was a HTC One, marked as Desire X. Not knowing the difference, I asked to upgrade to the Desire X, thinking it is the phone being displayed. I later realized (3 days) that is not the case. I phoned the store and spoke to a lady, who then confirmed that they made a big mistake with that display. She took my number and said the manager will call me back. After 5 hours, not getting a call, I phoned again and asked to speak to the manager. He then told me I had two options. I could leave it, or I could escalate the matter to the next level, but that that would be a big issue. He then added that there is no point in doing that, because the HTC One has been discontinued. I wrote a complaint on the website and only got feedback a week later from Ishereen Jacobs who conveniently steers around the problem, making me take the phone to their office (I live 200km away). It is now 01 May 2013, a month later, I have paid an admin fee as well as 1 month on a higher contract (used the phone for only a week) and all I get offered was a new upgrade, not even at a shop of my choice. TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY!!!
