MTN data depletion

Hi i activated a mtn BIS messaging plan at R14.95. the fair usage of 10mb was depleted in about 2 weeks. so i activated a 10mb data bundle and was credited with 10 10 = 20mbs of data. what i noticed is the data bundle i activated is depleting much faster then the fair usage data that i had. how is that so? and i only chat on bbm no pics no files nothing just some chatting. i did more chatting with the fair usage 10mbs. that lasted me 2 weeks. the data bundle i loaded yesterday is less close to 5mbs already... seriously you guys at mtn HELP???
