VERY UNHAPPY

I won a free 1 month trial at planet fitness in 2007. I was told to sign papers etc and we both confirmed i did not have to pay anything and that i would not be liable for any payments. I only had a piece of paper confirming that i was a one month trial member. After the month expired i went to the fitness centre, and was turned away as i was told that my membership had expired as it was a 1 month free contract. Today i received a call from someone (i don't know where she was calling from or even her name) and she told me i needed to make payment arrangements for a contract that i signed from 2007 - 2010. At no time did i receive any membership card, at not stage did i receive phone calls that i have to pay monies etc, now 6 years later they want me to pay for a membership that i never used for 3 years. Surely they cannot do this? I was a one month trial (free) member. When i went back after a month i was told my membership has expired etc, so that confirmed that it was a 1 month trial, now they want to claim monies from me for something i never used as i was told it was expired due to a 1 month free trial. This is totally unacceptable
