Wrong information

I was called by a guy at germiston mall to inform me about their promotion and the guy offered me a free gym for month but two days later i recieved an sms saying im going to pay 300 a month and i went to their office in germiston to cancell the contract and they asked me pay 150 cancellation which i refused to do and this afternoon i called their head office to try and cancell but the lady i spoke to asked me to pay 3000... what a is that, iwill never pay that kind of money to cancell a contract
