Gym contract

A worker from the gym presented me with a contract informing me that l would only have to pay r169 a month of which l agreed after signing the contract which was three yrs l was informed that my card has insufficient amount of which it did because l was not expecting a deduction of r6084 as l did not have that amount l manged to have an agreement with them to try and pay the money and only managed to pay r4500 afterwhich l am struggling to get the rest of the money now they handed my case to lawyers after l did email the gym manger and informed them l don't have the outstanding amount and l don't even use their gym they have my money and don't want to give it bac but they take me to lawyers. The worker did not inform me before signing the contract that they would deduct the r6000 immediately as l would not have agreed because l can't afford it
