Terms and conditions not fully addressed

I have a problem and I'll will quote my email I sent to virgin active blow.terms and conditions should differ from students and employed people because students can be short of income instantly and canceling a virgin active account is a nightmare to everyone since the T's and C's are not fully addressed.
Here's the email below:
"To whom it may concern:
I recently joined virgin active on 22nd of july 2013 with a student membership account. I read through the terms and conditions of the contract so i understood what they meant. I recently got a call from my uncle (guardain) that his been retrenched from work. I fear that I can no longer pay the dues when they are due. I know canceling the contract would mean I have to pay the full outstanding fees of the contract.please help on how I can cancel my memeship contract asap
CreatedJuly 31, 2013, 9:05 am" than I've been told that I need to pay R587 to cancel my account! Why would I need to pay that much while I haven't even gymed for two weeks?! I was give the option to freeze my accout for two months but fear after those two months I'd still have to pay a huge cancelation fee.please help
