Mistakes are made by Planet members have to pay

We (my husband, the kids and I) bought a two years planet fitness national membership. We paid the full amount due once off - upfront. Son1 lost his tag thus a new tag was bought at Gateway. The Planet employee linked the tag incorrectly to Son2. My husband and I are under tremendous pressure. Going to the gym takes discipline and should be a positive experience. We wanted to spin tonight and were a bit late. Instead of swiping our tags we had to give it to an admin lady (time consuming). Me and my husband could go through. The admin lady asked our oldest sons name. She noted his tag was incorrectly linked but verified his identity. She then insisted to update his profile. I asked if she could fix the problem after the spinning class the answer NO. I went to the manager he replied it would be fine. She still refused and said she would be fired. We left without spinning and I hope never to return to Hennopsview Planet Fitness. I have the following questions: why can't system updates and corrections be done afterwards? Why don't Planet employees not listen to managers? Why do we have to miss our spinning class and pay the price (time) if Planet employees linked us incorrectly?
