Owing money when i dont

Enrolled in the gym in 2006, cancelled it in 2008. No one contacted me in 5 years and now when I tried enrollin they say I owe them about R900. And they want to deduct it from my enrollment fee. Say that they rejected my application and dont want to refund my enrollment fee. Its not ryt.
