I joined the gym on 30/4/2013. I explained to the consultant Bronwyn that my pay date is the 5th of ea month. She said no problem the debit can bu run on the 15th as that is the next available date on the system. I signed and agreed. 4 days later I received a call from accounts that I am in arrears for may. I explained that I just joined and the debit will be deducted on the 15th. Then only I was told that gym fees are in advance and that the debit scheduled will be for June. I then asked how much is due? The lady said the full amount of R359. I then requested for the debit to be cancelled, and was told I must request it from my bank, the bank will only do it with an letter of authority from the bank that I requested that same evening from the gym. The manager wasn't availeable and the options given by the staff was frustrating. I have paid the member ship in cash for may but still no cancelled debit, and since Wednesday no feedback from any of the staff that promised to call me the next day, instead when I passed them the Thursday evening they disappeared like mist from the sun. I did on Thursday speak to a call centre agent Lisa who assured me she will sort it out.
