Cant collect goods a day late

Yesterday I rushed to Makro with much excitement about their new store opening in Alberton. I understood all the traffic and quite enjoyed the rush of it all. However, after having a very strict budget and driving all the way there from the Westrand to purchase a fridge. I was told I could not collect my appliance the next day. and that I have to collect my appliance the same day or take delivery (which was not in my budget). There was no way I could collect that day as I would not make it back before the store closes, but I could come early the next day (which was refused). Now I have paid the extra sum for delivery and instead of having my appliance today as I would have if I was allowed to collect. I have to wait till sometime next week before I have my fridge. I think its ridiculous that I cant collect something I paid for the next day, being told if I don't take it the same day they would sell it to someone else unless I pay delivery. If I had know this I would have saved myself the trouble of driving all that way going over my budget and bought a fridge for the same price closer to home.
