Complaint not dealt with!

I purchased underwear that was worn and washed once, they came out of the wash and the elastic had shredded. I put in a complaint via the Pep website and a lady phoned me back over a week later - firstly, that's unacceptable. I was told that Linda would phone the store and fore warn them that I would be coming in to get a refund. Linda said that she would ensure that all of the staff would be notified that I'd be coming in over the weekend. I specially wanted this done so as to avoid any embarassment. I went into the store on Sunday and spoke to the teller who knew nothing about it, she then told me to go speak to the store manager and explain myself (she should have caled the store manager to the tills and not made me look all over the store for her). I explained the problem again to the store manager who also knew nothing about it. So my time was wasted and I ended up being embarassed after all! To say I'm off is putting it mildly. I recieved a phone call from the manager this morning saying that I now may go BACK into the store and get a refund. I'm a Financial Accountant, I don't have the time to be wasting going back and forth to a store due to incompetence.
