Handbag's zipper not working after only two months

I bought a big handbag from Truworths Vaal Mall on the 23rd of January 2013. I started using the bag in February. I only use it on weekdays, not over weekends, and I take care not to overload it. However, yesterday the bag's zipper started giving me trouble. When you close the bag, the top is still open, in other words the zipper does not close the bag anymore.

I looked at the back of my till slip and saw that Truworths has a policy of returning something within 30 days, which means that if I go back to the shop now they probably won't want to help me. But how can it be acceptable for something to break after only two months of use? When you pay R340 for a bag, you expect it to be good quality. I'm not willing to buy a new bag every two months. I am disappointed in Truworths.
