NEW WORLD MENLYN NOT ALWAYS LOWEST PRICE GURRANTEE

During March 2013 I obtained a price from New World Menlyn, Pretoria, Gauteng on a Sony Camera HS20V. Original price was indicated as R3999.00 and after major negotiations the price was reduced to R3500.00.

Later the day I happened to be at Dions Wired and saw the same product for R2999.00. That is R1000.00 or 25% less than the New World Store price and on the invoice it clearly reads: Lowest prices guarantee.

I contact the owner And he only reply that was not his problem and he is not prepared to refund me on the product. He offered me a SD card worth R400 but unfortunately my travel costs to Pretoria and back home is around R500.00.

He indicated that he have no further interest to assist me in this matter although for the past few years I spent in advance of R100 000.00 on items from his store.

I really believed that I received a bad deal from New World menlyn a store I trusted as providing customers with the lowest prices.
