Damaged shoes not accepted

I bought shoes from identity in jabulani mall on the 26/02, the shoes were fine until 2 weeks back one of the heels broke. took the shoes back to jabulani mall identity yesterday.i was attended to by a very rude young lady who didn't even look at me when i was talking to her.she didn't want to accept the shoes back because i did not ahve proof of purchase.i told her that it was lost but she wouldn't hear anything from me.i left the shoes at the store because i can't do anything with the shoes, i can't wear them anymore.i didn't even have the shoes for a month and the metal heel is broken.i don't know what they want to do with shoes.all i want is a new pair or my money back
