Book ordered 3 weeks ago at store, not actioned

On the 9th of March my girlfriend and I visited the Somerset Mall branch of Exclusive Books. We were hoping they had a book from Scott Kelby - Lightroom 4, which we wanted to buy as a present for her brother on his birthday. Unfortunately they did not have it in stock and the sales assistant Andre said he will order it and should arrive soon.

After about a week we phoned and he lost my girlfriends number and was thankful that we phoned him. He said that it was not ordered but he will order it and it will arrive shortly.

Yesterday we phoned Andre seeing that it is now almost 3 weeks and the book being a present we want to give, he said that it was still not ordered due to the fact that he was off and has someone else had to order the book and they didn't do it and he will order it.

This is truly incompetent service from a book store assistant that had to give customer service by ordering 1 book that was not in stock??

How is this possible? I have been a customer of Exclusive Books for many years now and it is the first time I come across such poor, deceitful, unprofessional type of service!

There are many book shops Somerset Mall I could have visited, but I choose Exclusive.
