WHERE IS LOYALTY TO LOYAL CUSTOMERS??

I went to Truworths store yesterday to make a payment and to return a shirt i bought for my husband in December, which still had dockets and everything intact. i realise that i have exceeded one month to return this shirt but i feel Robbed as a customer to pay for something that i can't use. This shirt is too small and i couldn't return it because i was out of the country for most time this year. But Bottom line is, i have had this account for years, since the days when i was working for Truworths part time as a student, now they are just happy to take money from customers but when they have to return the favour they can't? I worked there and products were returned even when they did not have all the dockets, as long as the customer was not happy with the product for whatever reason!! THIS IS THEIR PRODUCT THAT STILL HAS DOCKETS ATTACHED and hasn't been worn, what must i do with it? JUST PAY FOR IT as per the store manager`s suggestion with attitude?
