I went to the Truworths Balito Branch yesterday (17/02/2012), to return a top (which was a wrong fit it was never worn and still had the dockets attached) and upon going to the cahier I was told because the top has passed there 30 day policy they cannot do a refund on my account and was told by the store manager that I could instead take something of the same value which was fine and I did just that but when I returned back to the cash desk to do the swap. I was NOW told sorry they did not realise that the top was taken in November and that she (the store manager) ASSUMED the item was bought in the last week of December??? Which makes me question what where they looking at when I innially brought the item to the cashier along with my account card should they not have informed me before hand and saved me the embarrassment of being turned down after getting the stuff for the swap! I am completely disgusted at the manner in which the situation was handled, I have been a loyal Truworths account holders for the past couple of years and this is the first time I heard of such nonsense if this situation is not resolved I will have no option but to cancel my account.
