2 brand new AEG fans are both faulty

Hi There

I purchased 2 AEG 16" pedestal (standing) fans 2 weeks back.

I assembled them over the weekend.

I am dismayed that both have minor faults on them.

For the first one, when you press any button, the entire button unit depresses, and almost disappears into the fan itself.

On the 2nd one, there is a rattling sound when the fan operates on any speed. I have had to use a string to tie the 2 fan cover components tighter together to avoid the rattling.

I have always purchased AEG products in the past as they have always given me superb service.

I am dismayed and disappointed, as I now will have to drive all the way to Makro to bring them in for you'll to have a look at, and this will cost me both time, effort and money at the end of the day.

PS - The only reason I have posted this on Hellopeter and not with Makro first, is that I have tried to lodge a complaint via the websit, but failed. There is no send button once you complete typing out your query, and further, there is no e-mail address mentioned anywhere on the site that you can use and send and e-mail to via my e-mail
